"I am a very picky buyer and this is the best purchase I have ever made. I bought one my freshman year of high school for my bed because I liked the silky binding. It went everywhere as my bedding, to camps, sleepovers, etc and then it finally had to be retired having lasted about four years of abuse (and only retired because the binding came unsewn. The blanket itself is still in good condition). I bought two more, one for my bed at home and one for my bed at college and another that goes with me to camps and things. It really is the best blanket ever.
I tend to get hot when I sleep and it is the perfect weight to keep me just warm enough but not hot. I wrap myself in it to sit on the couch and curl up with it at night. When I saw JCP was discontinuing it (AHH!!) I bought four just so I would have a supply. I love this blanket and will be very sad if I can't find it anymore."
Pros soft, silky taffeta binding, light and warm (but not too warm).....the list continues!
Cons NONE (except perhaps that it's being discontinued!)

"My family has enjoyed this style of blankets for over 50 years. I last purchased 4 of them over 5 years ago. Now my grown children want some for their own homes. But the blankets are impossible to find. These blankets are so easy to wash and dry. They are lightweight, warm and not bulky. The newer style blankets (Microfiber, Velux etc.) have a weird feel to them and I ended up donating them. PLEASE DO NOT LET THESE BLANKETS DISAPPEAR INTO THE SUNSET..."

"I'm a sucker for blankets with silky bindings. The silkiness is comforting to fidget with as I'm falling asleep. The older versions of this blanket had satin bindings. I thought that was the way to go. When I saw the super-low price on these &, since the others had been discontinued already, I bought 1 of these. The tafetta binding is even better (doesn't catch on fingernails or even dry skin)!
The blanket is incredibly soft - like a silk cloud. The blanket shed for the first couple of days of use - not since, although it did a bit in the 1st wash (went through 3 runs of my little front-loading washer to get 1 tsp of detergent out - washer's fault, not blanket). Still as soft after the wash as before. No shedding after 1st wash. Very durable blanket. Have had ~2 months & it's the same as when it arrived. Blanket seems light but is amazingly warm - although not too much so. I get hot easily.
Love the blanket so much I got 2 more. I'm so sad that these are being discontinued! I hope JCP remedies that with another acrylic blanket w/similar binding!"
