"My husband bought me this luggage set in February to be used for our trip to Jamaica in April. Day 1 while waiting in the airport to board our flight we went to zip up our carry on bag and the zipper seam completely separated from the bag. On our return we noticed the wheeled bags werent really "turning" and it felt more like they were being dragged, upon further examination we determined that the wheels had bent and were no longer working properly. I am a frequent shopper of JCPenney and enjoy most of their products, however I will be returning this luggage set because it lacks durability."

"I bought two sets of this luggage as gifts for my daughter and daughter-in-law. I have had Protocol luggage that I loved and that held up incredibly well as I traveled back and forth overseas - have had one piece for over 12 years and that's a record for luggage in my book. So, I thought I was getting a great deal. Well, it was much less than expected and less than is acceptable. I was embarrassed by how poorly it held up and that I had given it as gifts. Ironically this luggage was placed right next to some American Tourister luggage and I was in the process of buying the AT luggage when I was drawn by the purple color. The color, the price and my previous experience were deciding factors. I should have bought the AT luggage. At least they have a warranty that you can access. The below photos show luggage used only a couple of times."
Pros Color - easy to find amongst all that other luggage.
Cons Everything else - poor quality, poor durability

"I purchased this luggage for a recent trip and used only the largest suitcase which completely fell apart. The bottom separated from the sides so I had to pay to have it shrink-wrapped at the airport just to get it home. The zipper pulls also came off. On the positive side - I took it back to JCP and received an apology and a full refund."

"We bought the purple luggage so it stands out in the airport on the luggage trolley. Looks like it can take a good beating and is big enough for my husband and I for a week long vacation."
Pros Durable can find it easily.

"I purchased this Thanksgiving for a planned trip at Christmas. As I was zipping up the carry on, walking out the door the zipper broke. I had no choice at 4am before a flight leaving only hour from then. So I taped it up and went. So tacky walking around with a duck taped carry on. They are actually smaller than they looked. Beware. I thought I was getting a great deal, I got what I paid for, Cheap.

"My husband and I bought this set on Black Friday for our upcoming trip to see our families. After only one trip, the side of the smaller bag completely ripped! I ended up having to carry my bag like a baby through the airports until we could find a large enough plastic back to stuff it in. Not expensive luggage, but also not usuable luggage!! Will be taking this back immediately!"

"I love this luggage set. It has a duffel bag with wheels for my husband, a nice sturdy flat carry on with wheels for myself and also an extra tote type carry on for extras. For a longer trip it comes with a large suitcase (wheels also...this is extremely important for our luggage) that holds all of our best clothes. Great quality handles, wheels, construction. Could not ask for a nicer set."

"I travel quite a bit with my family and kids. I wanted a value set so all my kids could carry a piece of luggage. We know how kids like to copy their parents! Every piece held up pretty well through several trips (road trip and airplane). Met my expectations and I would get it again when the time comes."
