"I LOVE very large, leather handbags. I read a review from a customer who sent bag back due to large size and 'pvc' included materials in bag.
Everyone IS entitled to their own opinion and likes/dislikes, BUT the description of the bag DOES state it is a LARGE TOTE and gives dimensions of same.
I purchased this bag in dark brown- directly from a JCPenny store - more than 2 years ago! I have NEVER carried the same bag that long, every single day. In the past, I have purchased many handbags -costing more $, 'designer bags' even, ALL leather and have not been as impressed as I am with this bag. They did not last as long, did not wear as well and 'got old' more quickly! This bag takes all the abuse I dish out, on a daily basis and still looks great - including the lining! Any "PVC" may only on the piping around the seams and possibly some on handles, but the leather gets more supple with age and the stitching is in as good condition as it was the day I purchased it , for a LOT more $$$$$$! I constantly have people asking where I got the bag, which is not a reason I do anything, purchase anything, or in the way I live my life - as I am just me and have likes/dislikes, like all people do! Women who like big bags, LOVE this bag.
I stopped at my local JCPenney tonight looking for another Sophia C. and was disappointed that 'new styles' don't even come close to this one. I am reordering this bag, in black, this evening - at a FANTASTIC PRICE and only hope in 2 or 3 years, this company has a comparable type item, as I KNOW I may purchase a bag that doesn't suit me and after a couple of weeks (if that long) I'll be looking for another one. I have donated MANY handbags to goodwill due to the same reason!
I am ONLY purchasing another one, so I have it, as apparently the current, new line doesn't include ANYTHING similar!
If you don't like BIG bags, this one isn't for you - BUT, if you do - GET IT WHILE YOU CAN - and at this price it really is a 'STEAL'.

"THIS BAG IS VERY SOPHISTICATED AND SLEEK .THE LEATHER IS TO DIE FOR. I GOT IT IN THE MARIGOLD AND I LOVE IT. I AM THINKING I MAY GET ANOTHER COLOR TOO. IT IS A BIT LARGER THAN I THOUGHT, BUT IT IS OK FOR ME AS I AM 5'8" TALL. I LOVE THE ANIMAL PRINT LINING."

"The title says "leather" but if you look further down it says "leather/pvc". Does not even remotely look like leather. I was looking for a nice leather bag. It also is a lot larger than it appears, if you want a huge tote it is probably worth it but I am sending this one back."

"I love this bag!!! Is is so soft and supple and the lining inside is of silky material, in a leopard like pattern. It is gorgeous. I am thinking about getting one in white or cognac also.
