"We used this bedspread for a month and noticed a tear on a seam that hangs over the foot of the bed. Two weeks later there was another tear, but this time it was not in the seam. I showed my husband and he found a third tear. They were all in the same pattern and around the area that looked like it had been stitched together by a child (there were huge gaps in the stitching and it wasn't even). I did not wash the bedspread before putting it on the bed, so I know the washer is not responsible for the tears. We returned it and purchased a second one. We looked over the new one carefully and found an area near the center where the stitching had already pulled loose, and this is straight out of the bag. So, we are returning it and going with something else. It's a shame because it looked great in our bedroom and was the perfect weight for the summer."

"Read all reviews before purchasing, and almost did not purchase due to the quote poor quality other people complained about with the stitching ,etc .Am so glad I took a chance and purchased it. It is absolutely gorgeous! I have washed it twice and had no problems with the stitching falling out so far. Good value for the price. If you like this bedspread , take a chance . I don't believe you'll regret it. My only con is i wish the toss pillows were a bit more reasonably priced. I would have loved to have had the whole ensemble for my bed . Was delighted though to get this find within my budget."

"I took the bedspread directly from the bag and placed it on the bed. It was virtually wrinkle-free and looks beautiful with my sage-green wallcolor! Very well-made, middleweight spread."

"I bought this spread and I am not at all disappointed . After reading some reviews, I was apprehensive but I've bought other quilted bedspreads from Penneys and have never been sorry. I have gotten good prices on each, and the quality is great. They wash real nice too. I have the berry and green. Nice country touch."

"AFTER CLEANING, THE SEAMS RANDOMLY OPEN UP THROUGHOUT THE SPREAD AND MUCH HAND STITCHING IS REQUIRED IF YOU DESIRE TO CONTINUE USING IT."

"Overall appearance is beautiful but up close the craftmanship is lacking. It looks like a 5 year old did the stiching. It won't hold up for long. I plan to reinforce the quilting stiches myself. Very disappointing."

"I was disappointed. Bedspread was backordered. I was excited when it came. I laid it out on my bed and was very disappointed in the stitching of the quilting. Large, uneven stitches. My friend, an experienced quilter just laughed and said this will fall apart first time you wash it.

"I really loved this bedspread. It came a lot sooner than expected-it was on back order till Nov. and I received within one week of placing order. It fit my king bed very nicely. The colors are vibrant. I ordered the green, burg pattern. My husband did not like it . He said it reminded him of a X-mas wreath in the center of the bed."

"I have a wonderful comforter for the Winter, but this was the perfect replacement as summer heated up, the colors are vibrant, and blended with the wine colored accents I already had going in my bedroom. Love it cuz the hubby can't hog the covers!!!"
Pros Nice drape to the floor from King Pillowtop! Excellent spring/summer/ fall weight, beautiful colors

"When I first put this quilt on the bed it seemed way too small for the bed. I had to use a dust ruffle with it. Over the months it has stretched and spread now to where it seems like a regular bedspread and I could take the dust ruffle off. Never had a quilt do this before. However, now the corners drag on the floor."

"Wonderful with valence and accessories. Does not require shams unless you just want them since this is a bedspread and not a comforter/skirt. I thought shams took away from the "made-up" look.
I love the entire set!"

Cons Had to get king size for my queen bed as I have a sleigh bed and it sets up high (for the bedspread to reach the floor)

"This is beautiful The picture does not do it justice. I ordered the spread and pillow shams in king size and the fit is perfect. My bedroom looks so elegant and rich. Very vibrant colors. Just love this. If the colors are for you, do not hesitate to buy it."

"I was a little hesitant to order this because it looked so white and the stars really looked like they stood alone, not the case..When I put it on my bed the colors just seemed to all blend and it didn't have those, what appeared on line to be, lots of white areas. The colors are very rich and vibrant, and I am also so happy with the curtains..Really glad I ordered these, they are perfect with an old fashion flare."

"I was more than pleased when this arrived. The colors of this quilt are very warm, vivid and inviting! Burgandy, tan and forest green mostly. The linen background is a tonal mini print. Material has much more detail than what you see online--I think it is gorgeous!! Bought for a queen sized bed and it fits perfectly with good amt of drape at corners and plenty of length. Haven't washed it yet but don't see any loose threads or seams coming apart. You won't be sorry ordering this...I love the country look and feel it gives to my room!"
