"Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, however, I didn't expect the strong odor to last so long. I followed the directions, in fact I 'aired' it for two days with window opened for at least 8 hours each day in spite of the very cold weather outside. I've used odor repellents and sprays to make it easier to breathe in the bedroom, but after a week, the smell remains (maybe a bit milder than before). If anyone has a suggestion please let me know."

"We purchased this about 3 months ago because my husband likes a firm bed and I couldn't sleep on it. The foam is soft enough for me but since it molds to your body, it provides firm support for my husband's heavier frame. The smell of the new foam disappears if you follow the insturctions."

"I purchased this foam mattress pad with very high expectations. Especially after reading all the reviews.
The product is very good but I was expecting to feel like I was sleeping on a cloud.
The pad is spongy soft, that is at first but then when all settled in, it somehow does feel very firm at the pressure points like shoulder blades, buttocks and back of heals.
I never slept on a foam mattress pad before and have to admit that it does take some time to get use to because the pad slowly depresses at the pressure points, to cradle and conform to your body and then if you change positions it has to re-conform. And because of this, at first, it may seem awkward.
I have owned it for a few weeks now and have gotten use to sleeping on a foam pad and I am starting to sleep much better. I am keeping it because my bed is too firm and this is an improvement.
The cover is well made and is probably what prolongs the life of the pad. It does keep temperatures comfortable and I never wake up too hot.
If you like foam mattress pads, then yes I think this is a good product.
Also, because others had complained of the initial smell, I was expecting it to be really bad. It was not terrible and the smell did not last long. One or two nights of good airing seem to resolve the problem."

"I developed a lower back condition and tried all kinds of mattresses, feather toppers & other pads. I saw this on sale & tried it -- it is wonderful - actually I have 2 thicknesses on my bed. I sleep sound and rarely am awakened with hip & back pain. Be sure and use the Iso-Cool topper - the padding tends to hold in body heat - which I expect to be a bonus in the winter months but was a negative during summer; however, it was not so hot that I stopped using it. I also have the Iso-Cool pillows which hold in body heat. I would recommend this to anyone."

"I bought this mattress pad because it had such good reviews. When I got it & put on bed, I thought it would be great, but all 3 nights I slept on it, I woke up in the morning with a lower back ache. I am very disappointed that it didn't meet my expectations."

"My husband and I have back, hip, and shoulder problems. I have tried expensive mattresses, feather beds, and other mattress toppers. We both are sleeping well and waking up in the morning without being stiff and in pain. If you have problems with your back, your joints, or just have difficulty getting comfortable at night, I would definitely recommend purchasing it. It evens helps keep the mattress temperature just right, never too warm or cool. We love ours!"

"We looked at Sleep Number and Tempurpedic beds. Both were very comfortable but very expensive. Saw this mattress pad and read the reviews, decided to give it a try. This is a great alternative to an expensive new bed. We both sleep much better with this pad and wake up without back or hip pain."

"This foam and mattress pad combo is excellent...gave new life to a rather 'lumpy' bed...best night sleep in a long time!! I was hesitant at the price - but used some promo coupons and ebates so it made it easier! Cetainly cheaper than a new mattress and will order one for my son's bed now.
Only down side is that the 'foam' smell does linger a bit...it is not terrible, but it did last a bit longer than I thought."

"I was hesitant on spending so much money on a mattress topper, knowing that your sleep quality is only as good as the mattress you sleep on. I've tried various foam toppers, pads, pillows, all with no change in comfort level. Other reviews have said that this particular mattress topper smells horrible out of the packaging. There is a slight smell, but nothing outrageous. The thick, dense foam cradles everything that touches it. I haven't had such a sound sleep in months! This was definitely worth every penny paid!"

"My husband and I just bought a new king size bed. We had used a mattress topper with our previous bed and found it took the comfort level up a notch... so I looked at several options before purchasing this product. And it did not disappoint! The first night I fell asleep, I woke in the morning, in the same position.
Like one reviewer mentioned, the smell is a little overwhelming at first, but after 2-3 weeks, it was completely gone. And the comfort of the topper far outweighs the smell! Another thing I like is the IsoCool mattress pad cover. It keeps the topper in place (one thing that was aggravating with our last topper) and it saves the mattress topper from body oil stains and pet allergens that might otherwise get in the foam and stay there.
The price is higher than most of the products I looked at, but in my opinion, this product is worth every penny!"

"My husband was having trouble sleeping on our mattress. His shoulders would ache so bad. His hips were hurting him so much that it was difficult for him to get out of bed. He was waking frequently in pain. We considered buying a new mattress set, but we really didn't have the funds for that, so I looked into buying this foam mattress pad. After reading the reviews, I thought we'd take the chance. Wow. We both were pleasantly surprised. I am happy to report that my husband is sleeping well, and he is no longer in pain. His hips and shoulders feel good, even in the morning after sleeping well all night. I am sleeping better as well, even though I wasn't in pain, I feel I am staying asleep longer. Excellent buy. Excellent mattress pad. Well worth the money...and saves you from having to buy a new mattress set. I recommend it!"

"This mattress pad smells in when new. The instructions say air for a few hours. It takes longer but the smell does go away fast. I purchased another one for my late 40's kids for xmas and they love it as much as I do. Be patient the smell goes away.
Sleeping on this pad is wonderful, makes you feel like you are on one of those expensive motel beds.

"I bought this right before I went to college because I was staying at the dorms and I knew the beds would be terrible! Well I was right, no one could sleep on those beds, especially me because i'm a picky sleeper. If it hadn't been for this foam pad, I would not have sleep one wink. This sleeps as good as a really thick expensive bed and I would highly recommend it to anyone! It is a life saver!"

"My first back surgery was 6 years ago. Since then I've had 3 more back surgeries & I had given up on the possibility of EVER getting a good night's rest without the tossing & turning. I couldn't stand to lie in one position for any length of time. I was desperate. I had looked every-where before deciding on this topper. All I can say is absolutely wonderful!
