"I have always purchased my curtain rods from JCP and found them to be of very good quality. However, not so with this double rod. The rod itself was badly scratched. Much of the hanging hardware was missing. The ends of the rods would not stay attached to the hanger. The hanger was very "wobbly" although it was securely attached to the wall."
Pros none
Cons Missing hanging hardware; flimsy; would not stay attached to hanger.

"I recently ordered the "combo" rod as I had used this same brand and model in the past, and I appreciated both rods being attached to the same wall mount piece. I was very disappointed to find that this was no longer the case (two pieces), and the part where the small rod hooks on is now plastic and not metal. It did not appear durable enough to hold up the rod, let alone the rod with a curtain or sheer. I promptly returned it and will seek buying a different brand "combo" rod."
Cons plastic components, two pieces for hook on - not one

"I HAD TRIED TO PURCHASE THIS ROD AT A PENNEY STORE,; 3 OUT OF 3 HAD NO HANGING HARDWARE.
SOOO I ORDERED THE ROD; IT WAS MISSING THE HANGING HARDWARE FOR THE CENTER SUPORT.
THE INSTRUCTION WERE WRITTEN IN 3 LANGUAGES. THE ENGLISH VERSION WAS WEAKLY WRITTEN, VAGUE HANGING PROCEDURE, INSTRUCTIONS & LOUSY DIAGRAMS. IT'S A GOOD THING I'D HUNG RODS BEFORE OR I WOULD HAVE OUT OF LUCK"
Pros AS PICTURED

"I was disapointed in this product. We bought our curtains through JC Penneys so of course we went back for the purchase of the curtain rod. We had issues with the durability of the rod for the panels/curtains. The valance rod was ok as the weight was less and the rod was 2 inches wider. The panels, however, were to heavy for the 1 inch rod and it bent in the middle. We rigged up extra support and it should be OK however I am afraid to pull open or close the drapes as I don't want them to fall."
Pros none
Cons Metal bends easily. Doesn't hold the weight of our curtains without a homemade center brace

"I've had numerous curtain rods over the years, but needed a double rod and ordered this one. The instructions were very disappointing and there was no hardware (screws, nuts, etc) to attach the two rods together like the picture shows. All screws were too big and fell into holes. Ordered JCP curtains, but still had tough time getting curtain onto rod. It was as if curtain was sewn incorrectly. Disappointed also in the plastic end sections, which fit onto main portion on wall and connect rod together. Once curtain was fed onto rod and I tried to cover up the main portion of rod, the plastic section kept pulling away from the main section and then I'd have to start all over. If I didn't already have the wall portion attached, I definitely would have returned item"

"This rod was easy to install--took about 10 minutes. However it is disappointing that the center sagged within the specified window width for this rod and a support bracket was not provided by the manufacturer with the rod. My handy husband spent 30 minutes on a modification to address the problem. The results look great."

"These rods are well worth the money. Easy to install and really make the valances look extra nice, has support bracket, also. The only drawback is the closest from the window frame is 5 1/2" and is too far out and hits the light in the kitchen. Will either have to cut the brackets off or send it back. Be sure to measure the maximum distance out you can place your rod. I don't think this is listed in the description. Otherwise A+++++ wound definitely recommend this item."
Pros easy to install
Cons 5 1/2" from window casing is too far out in the kitchen

"I installed these easy enough and I got them on sale, so I can't complain. But this kit is very cheap. You screw a plastic support to the wall that supports both rods with plastic hooks. Probably not a problem if you're hanging sheers and a light valence, but I wouldn't use this for anything heavier. I rather expected something better from JC Penney. These are much cheaper than the rods and hardware they had on display in the store."
Pros 4 kits were complete
Cons expensive, plastic hardware, chaotic instructions
