"Have used this product one time and it worked as advertised. This cooker is an excellent size for our family. I like the temperature range as opposed to Off, Low, High. Also, it will cut off at a set time and then keep the food warm so it is basically a load, set, and forget product."
Pros Looks great. Works as advertised.
Cons So for, I can't say anything negative about this cooker.

"I bought this roaster for Thanksgiving - even paid extra for shipping to ensure it arrived in time to cook my turkey. On Thanksgiving morning I set my turkey into the roaster, plugged it in and set the temp and timer then went about cooking other items for my meal. After 30 minutes the roaster was still ice cold. We were never able to get it to work. I had to run out to Walmart and buy a roaster to cook my turkey. Sadly, my meal was 2 hours late and was a near disaster. If you decide to buy this roaster - I'd recommending doing a test run before banking your big meal on this appliance."
Pros Looks great and the size is nice
Cons It never heated

"My husband & I got started quickly enough, we set the timer & the timer ran for about twenty minutes & then the numbers disappeared, so we were without a clue as to how much time was left except for our own guesstimate. Also the light went off as to whether it was cooking or not. We ended up unplugging & plugging it in 3 times to get it right. We kept consulting the instructions & weren't getting any answers as to what the problem was. We had to get our ham cooked for a family gathering, & since the roaster seemed to always stay warm despite the electronic problems, we finally just kept it plugged in. We kept a close eye on the ham & it turned out beautifully. We're going to try it again soon on a roast beef & if the numbers & light don't work, we're sending it back."
Pros Cooked food beautifully, easy cleanup, well constructed
Cons Read & re-read the instructions, & they didn't feel they were clear enough

"I ordered this oven as an extra to free up my regular oven for Thanksgiving. I ordered it in November, and received it a week later in perfect condition. On Thanksgiving Day at 6am I got it al ready for my turkey. Turned it on to heat it up for my turkey, and it didn't work. I pressed and pressed the buttons and it still didn't work. I still want the oven and when I told pennys my story they said there aren't anymore. So I'm very disappointed that I don't have one and you were the only one that carried that size"
Pros Was big enough for a 26lb turkey
Cons Didn't work at all

"Small ovens forced the purchase of an electric roaster for this year's holiday turkey. Roaster does an excellent job cooking and browning the meat. The clean up was easy. Good product....I would recommend it."

"We ordered the Cooks 24 qt roaster to cook our Thanksgiving turkey in. We had just moved into a new a home and we were having issues with the stove's oven and did not want to chance ruining a 22 lb. turkey. This seemed like it would be the solution so we ordered the Cooks electric roaster from JC Penney's website. When we set it up on the morning of Thanksgiving, it wouldn't even turn on! The power light worked however the digital temperature element did not. Granted, we should have tested it first but for the price of this roaster, I would have thought it would at least work on the first attempt! No thanks to Penney's on Thanksgiving!!"
Pros None
Cons will not even work

"I recently purchased this cooker to cook my Thanksgiving Turrkey. Today is the day before Thanksgiving, I washed the cooker, cleaned the Turkey. Plugged the cooker in and all it does is say E2 in the digital display. I cannot get it to change. My small instruction booklet says nothing about the meaning of E2. I am very disappointed."

"I love the numerical temperature setting, compared to the old "low, medium and high". I already own a "cooks" programmable slow cooker, and even bought 2 more for my granddaughters, who have to work all day. It's great to come home the aroma of something cooking and ready to be eaten. I am using my 24 quart for Thanksgiving and Christmas, when I'll have to feed somewhere between 18 and 24 people over the Holidays. I usually buy 4 turkeys, one each for November, December, January and February because we love turkey so much. So this large cooker will get a lot of use. Also these make a great large lasagna, with no spill mess in the oven, also easy to take to a pot luck supper and keep hot. The list of uses is endless, bound only by our creative ideas."
Pros Can be used to cook, hold hot, and as a serving unit. The timer prevents burning foods to a frazzle.
Cons Canniot be used for small quantities(I have a 6 quart "cooks" programmable for that!)

"My husband bought this roaster for me for our anniversay and I was thrilled! Unfortunately, when we needed to use it (for his daughter's wedding reception dinner), we discovered that the roaster does not sit evenly on surfaces. The legs (diagonal from each other) are shorter than their other diagonal counterparts which makes the roaster wobble, and the base appears to be connected to the unit somewhat not centered. In other words, the base's "lip" seems to stick out on one side, and is underflush with the other side. We took the roaster back in exchange for another. That one arrived today and I thought, "Yay! Now I have my roaster!".... I was not happy, however, to disover the same exact problems we encountered with the first one. I've never owned a roaster, so maybe this is some super ingenious design advance that makes the food cook better. But in my experiences with roasters, I've never known any of them to sit this unevenly. The craftsmanship just appears subpar for the price. Needless to say, this one is going back, and I will probably end up purchasing a "boring", basic white roaster, albeit one that is worth the money."
Pros Stainless steele, looks nice, digital programming
Cons Unstable base; legs uneven; base seems to be on not centered to the cooking unit

"I bought this roaster to cook our Thanksgiving turkey and free up my oven for other dishes. We have a large family and I looked for the largest roaster I could find. This fit the bill nicely for size and I loved the modern look!! Cooking was very accurate, clean up a breeze!! What the description does not mention is that this roaster came with a roasting rack and buffet serving pans (nice surprise!!). Also the lid has a viewing window which was very convenient for keeping an eye on the pop-up timer on my turkey. My only complaint is that the programmable buttons were hard to push, but not a big enough deal to take away any stars!! I am very happy with my purchase!!"
Pros Nice and large for those big family gatherings!!
Cons The programmable buttons somewhat hard to push.
