"This was a graduation gift for my daughter who graduated culinary school for baking and pastry. It came a lot sooner than it said it would. And we could not be more pleased. She just loves it. And having one myself, I would not have any other brand."
Pros It is very reliable, and can handle very large recipe amounts.

"My wife has been asking for one for about 6 months. She looked at the 4.5, 5, and 6. I wanted to get her one that would be able to support our family of 5. This one seems to fit the bill. It's by far the heaviest small appliance we have in the kitchen. It is no very maneuverable, but I didn't expect that. The mixer has really made my wife's backing experience better. Her ability to mix ingredients before this was difficult at best with a whisk, fork, spoon or even a hand mixer. This cuts down the time and saves her back!"

"this is a very durable well built mixer. It seems like a lot to spend on a mixer at first, but now that I have it I don't regret it at all. the slow start up feature keeps things from flying out of the bowl when you first turn it on."
Pros heavy duty, well built, handles bread dough and stiff batters with no trouble
Cons The beater is a little awkward to remove compared to the tilt head on the smaller model.

"I bought this mixer for my wife on Mother's Day as a replacement for a smaller KitchenAid mixer that she inherited from her father, who inherited it from his brother, who inherited it from their mother! She gave the old one, which still works perfectly after 25 years, to her best friend. My wonderful wife loves to bake and uses her mixer at least once a week and frequently more than that. She loves larger capacity and added power of the 600 professional series and this gift is sure to keep me out of the dog house!"
Pros Larger capacity, more power. I like the raisable bowl over the older stationary version

"we have other kitchenaid mixers and we needed one with more power and capacity. I can mix more and this saves me time from the trustworthy 5qt artisan model. The gears are more quieter than the artisan and more smoother. Best buy so for for our small bakery"

"My husband got me this as an early Christmas present and I couldn't be happier!
I have to admit, I've always seen these and kind of wanted one - but never thought I'd use it very much... but on Thanksgiving, I got it and made 3 different kinds of pies (including pie crust) from scratch... cookies, muffins, AND cake... without even breaking a sweat!
I never thought I'd compare a mixer to a car, but that's exactly what it feels like. A brand new car... the quality is THAT apparent.
Mine made a lot of noise when I first started using it - until I realized that I had to snap the bowl into place to make it even, rather than just rest it on the bowl stand.
The only thing I wish is that I didn't wait this long to get it!

"Being a Grandmother I do alot of baking with my grandkids. I have owned a Kitchen Aid for about 30 years and when I saw the Pro 600 I had to have it. When I bake I always quaddriple the batches. I would mix the sugar, butter, eggs etc and then dump it in another bowl to mix by hand, now I don't have too!!!!! I can make a double batch of carmel rolls at a time, so it takes me a 1/4 of the time. Really all I can say is OMG!! I love it :)"

"This mixer makes baking a dream. It keeps your hands out of messy dough. It cuts down on prep work. I can cook a cream pie filling while my mixer is whipping egg whites for the meringue. Big time saver!"
